Design
Our in-house design team can work closely with you to develop your artwork into the perfect finished product, or we can take your print-ready PDF artwork to print directly from. If you are supplying your own artwork, please read the below information to help us make your job run smoothly.
File types: Wherever possible, files should be supplied as flattened, CMYK artwork at a minimum resolution of 300dpi in JPEG, TIFF, PDF or Vector files such as Illustrator. If you send Vector files, please ensure that all fonts are converted to outlines. Be aware that when conversion or printing software errors occur there may be a charge for correcting the files. PDF files should be high resolution, without down-sampling and should have all fonts embedded. Please avoid sending Microsoft Word documents for print as this is not a print ready application and extra charges will be incurred due to reworking unsuitable artwork. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you are unsure of how to supply your files.
Colour types: RGB images may suffer from colour shifts during CMYK conversion prior to printing. It is therefore required that all files are supplied in CMYK colour mode.
Bleed: Bleed is a printer's term for colour that is printed beyond the finished size of a page. Due to the cutting process not always being 100% accurate, we require that a bleed of 2.5mm be used. Additionally, it would be a good idea not to place any text or important imagery too close to the finished edge.
Charges: Where files need to be amended or created to be ready for printing, a charge of £35.00 per hour may be imposed, however, we will always contact you beforehand.
